Moving House Forward is an integral part of DESCENDANTS that explores different avenues to cultivate community and give alternative platforms to artists such as panels and music production workshops. We’re honored to be present our 3rd annual Afro House Panel/Mixer for Amsterdam Dance Event.

The day will be filled with music programming & panel talks with some of the best Afro-Electronic artists & professionals in the industry. Limited Free RSVP’s available.

The Blueprint of a Sustainable Artist

Ownership is one of the most important conversations in today’s music industry — but few creatives truly understand what it looks like behind the scenes. This panel goes beyond the buzzwords to unpack the real mechanics of sustainability: intellectual property , negotiation, masters and publishing, merchandise, touring, and business systems. This session offers a practical

roadmap for how artists can protect their well-being while navigating the modern music landscape. How can artists of today better project themselves for a long, sustainable future?

A conversation with Valentino Barrioseta, Founder and CEO of Bridges For Music, a non-profit based in Langa, South Africa, dedicated to empowering young talent from under-served communities to become creative change-makers through their schools, providing safe spaces and holistic learning programs to enhance the creative potential of young people. We will discuss the project’s history and future, as well as the importance of community building, collective empowerment, and shaping a better future.

Mpho.Wav is a rising Afro House producer from Orange Farm, Johannesburg. With hit records like ‘Teka’, ‘Underground’, ‘In The Den’ & much more. As a child of the church, his musical foundation was set in spirit with the drums and piano where his gifts were molded. In this talk, we dive deep into his process, how he utilizes his voice to create chants and unique drums, and his collaborations with artists like Sun-El Musician, Thakzin, Simmy & more.
